Hello!
I am excited to apply for this role because it aligns closely with the work I have been doing throughout my career, often behind the scenes and always with artists’ best interests in mind. I began as a recording artist on a major label, then spent years touring before moving into production, engineering, and content operations. That path has given me a clear understanding of how important accurate rights management and metadata are to an artist’s livelihood.
In my current work, I manage music and video assets from creation through release and monetization. I am detail oriented by nature and take real pride in keeping catalogs clean, accurate, and fully accounted for. I am often the person who catches small errors before they become larger problems, whether that is a missing asset, incorrect ownership, or a monetization issue that needs follow up. I find satisfaction in operational excellence and in knowing that careful work directly protects revenue.
I also run a short form music video series on YouTube and social platforms, which has strengthened my understanding of how content, rights, and monetization intersect on the platform. I regularly audit content, organize catalogs, and track updates using spreadsheets as active operational tools rather than simple data entry. I value clear documentation, strong communication, and follow through, especially in remote environments with a high level of trust and autonomy.
This role feels like a natural extension of my journey. I care deeply about independent artists and labels and take responsibility seriously when my work impacts their income. I would love the opportunity to bring my attention to detail, operational mindset, and music industry experience to your team.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Cheer,
Craig
